The aerodrome is located in the Bages region, province of Barcelona, in the municipality of Sant Fruitós.
Sant Fruitós de Bages.
The historic center of the village keeps its genuine medieval disposition, with concentration of houses around the temple, forming a “sagrera”. There has been a major expansion of the urban center to new urbanized areas, as well as the growth of industrial and commercial land along the axis of the Llobregat (C-16).
Pla de Bages.
It is located on the eastern side of the central depression of Catalonia. It has a Mediterranean microclimate, of medium mountain, protected by the Prepirineo on the north and the Sierra Litoral on the southeast. It has rigorous thermal oscillations and low rainfall. The vineyards built to the dry stone are traditional of the zone. The area of cultivation is located in the course of the river Llobregat and its tributaries.
